The pearl of Vesterålen

 

You can still feel the good mood from the old days in the restaurant and the cabins. Long and old traditions are still alive, but wrapped into a modern setting. The smell of cod-liver oil from old days is now changed to the aroma of the famous home made fish soup, based on fish caught by the chef himself. You can sense the hunger in your body, while you are taking a sip of the fresh tapped ice cold local beer. Far away, you can hear the sound of a fisherman heading towards the horizon in his small boat. You take another sip of you beer and enjoy every slow second of time - here at Damperiet - the pearl of Vesterålen.

Redecoration

We redecorate Damperiet with fresh new painting and flowers for the season of 2007.

Damperiet is open

Damperiet opened the doors at June 4th. The first weekend, June 8th and 9th, there were lots of guests as expected. We all welcome you to Damperiet.
